Robert J. Slowinski Sr.

Robert J. “Bob” Slowinski Sr., 73 of Crystal Lake, was born on April 3, 1947 to the late Edward and Eleanor Slowinski and passed away on December 3, 2020.

Bob was the loving husband of Margaret “Peggy” for 52 years; adored father of Laura (Jerry) Morgan of Grayslake, IL, Robert Slowinski Jr. of Crystal Lake, IL, and Daniel (Jennifer) Slowinski of Westmont, IL; dear grandfather of Zachary and Tyler Morgan, and Anna and Emily Slowinski; and beloved brother of Sandra Slowinski and Carolle (Jerry) Asbeck.

Bob was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served in Vietnam as a leading radarman on the Mine Sweeper USS Excel MSO 439. He was actively involved in the Crystal Lake Hockey Club for 20 years and served as president and a coach. His membership in the McHenry VFW and American Legion was a source of joy in his retirement. His hobbies of stained glass and leather tooling always kept him busy.

Bob will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his repertoire of jokes, and love of family.

Services will be held privately for family at Crystal Lake Memorial Park, Crystal Lake.
