Robert Steltman

The Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Joseph Steltman,78, of Grayslake will be held at 11 am, Thursday, at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St (corner of Franklin and Ela Sts), Barrington, where he will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Father Jack Dewes will officiate. Interment will be private at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.

Born July 3,1934, in Chicago Robert passed away July 14,2012, in Chicago.  A graduate of DePaul University, in Chicago, he worked for Dearborn Chemical in Lake Zurich and retired as the treasurer of Oxxford Clothing in Chicago.  Robert was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine (nee Rechka), children Robert Jr. of Urbana, Susan of Grayslake, Teresa (James) Munch of Libertyville, and Karen, of Algonquin, grandchildren Alyssa and Tim Munch, nieces Renee Batt, and Donna Steltman, and sister-in-law Gloria Steltman. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jerome, and John, and sister-in-law Evelyn.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Seguin Services, 3100 S. Central Ave, Cicero, IL 60804.
