Robert Stevenson, Jr

Robert "Bruce" Stevenson, Jr., 76, of Sun City, Huntley, was born on September 11, 1939 in Elgin to Robert B. and Helen (nee Deak) Stevenson. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Crystal Lake.
Bruce was a graduate of Elgin High School in 1958 and remained in the Elgin area for his whole life. He proudly served in the Navy from September 1958 through 1962. Bruce will be best remembered for his passion for volunteering for Christian Rock concerts.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kay (nee Kellermann) Stevenson; his daughters, Rebecca (Jeff) Crownover of Huntsville, AL, and Sara (Dan) Sitkie of Wonder Lake, IL; his granddaughters, Heather and Emily Sitkie; and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 11am until the time of the memorial service at 12pm, Saturday, June 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake.
