Funeral service for Roberta “Jane” Miller (nee DeNoyer), 93, of Barrington, will be held at 2pm Wednesday, June 18,, 2014 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 337 Ridge Rd., Barrington Hills. Born in Chicago on June 28, 1920, she passed away June 13, 2014 in Barrington. She married Byrd T. Miller Jr. on December 27, 1941 in Chicago. They were married 51 years.
Jane was a very talented artist and musician, took pride in her family as a homemaker and mother, and loved her community. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Jane was also a former Wright Junior College Beauty Queen and an actress at the Goodman Theatre.
Jane is survived by her children, Ty Miller, Palatine, and Nancy Gamble, Mill Valley, CA; grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Greenville, SC, Mary Hogue, Portland, OR, Maggie Byrne, Grayslake, IL, and Bruce Clark, Charlotte, NC; and great-grandchildren, Allie Reinwald, Maddie Byrne, Hannah Benis, Brooklyn Budde, Evelyn Mae and Clara Jane Hogue, and Levi Tyler Miller.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dr. Robin Miller Catchpole, and son-in-law, Dr. Hubert Catchpole.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Jane’s name to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church would be appreciated.
