Roberta Miller, 94 a long-time member of the advertising and mail order business in Chicago and Highland Park, passed away Sept. 9, 2012. She was born April 19, 1918.
Miss Miller began her career in Chicago with Louis G. Cowan, the originator of the Quiz Kids Radio Program, followed by several years as an officer of Frederick Asher, Inc Advertising; an administrative assistant to the president of John Plain & Compay Mail Order of Chicago. For 25 years she was secretary-treasurer of Lifetime Nursery Products, Highland Park. She was president of the Women’s Advertising Club of Chicago 1961-1962, and active in the Chicago Federated Advertising Club.
She travelled extensively to Europe, Alaska, Canadian Maritimes, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, The Islands, and the United States from east to west, north to south, by air, by sea, and by land.
She resided in Lake Barrington and is survived by her sister Patricia Miller of Algonquin.
