Robert “Bob” Lee Ottenad, 90, of Naples, FL, was born May 18, 1931 in Kansas City, KS and passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021 in Naples.
Bob graduated from University of Missouri where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was also in the ROTC program while in college and went on to join the United States Air Force afterwards.
Bob was the retired owner of local (in Barrington) office coffee service, “Romarc Coffee Services”, which he started after leaving corporate food service provider, Servomation.
He was a member of St. Anne’s parish in Barrington, an active member of the Lion’s Club, the Barrington Chamber of Commerce and the Fox River Valley Pony Club.
Bob was an avid golfer, tennis and platform tennis player. He actively supported his kids in all things and enjoyed traveling. He owned a home in Mexico and loved taking trips to new places including Norway, Russia, Portugal, the Panama Canal, France, Africa and even a bike trip in Italy.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Linda MacDuffie Ottenad; his children, Marc (Margaret) Ottenad of Dousman, WI and Robin Galloway of Dallas, TX; step-children, Amy and Ken Pacanowski; grandchildren, Bradley and Jakob Ottenad; step-grandchildren, Nathan, Hannah and Luke Pacanowski.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; his brother, Richard; and sister-in-law, Joy Ottenad.
A private family graveside ceremony will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
