Roger Blomquist

Roger Elmer Blomquist, 72, passed away September 7, 2015 suddenly at home. He was born on August 28, 1943 in Chicago, IL and resided in Barrington, IL. Roger was a loving husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Margie (Olsen) and they just celebrated 48 wonderful years of marriage; sons Scott (Andee) and Jay (Yolanda), and three grandchildren Charlie, Tate, and Bode. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and brother Jay. Roger graduated U of I with honors in Engineering. 32 years ago, he started his own company (RMB Engineered Products) which continues to be a successful business today. Roger loved to ski, golf, roller-blade, play racquetball, and spend time with his family, especially his 3 grandsons. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Thursday September 10th at Davenport Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St (Lake-Cook)., Barrington. Funeral will be Friday, September 11th at 10am at the Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 Brinker Road, Barrington. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: ALS, www.alsa.org, in memory of Roger’s mother, Marcella (nee Salmu) Blomquist.
