Roger Walneck
March 15, 1938 — January 25, 2016
Roger J. Walneck, 77, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on January 25, 2016. Roger was born on March 15, 1938 in Chicago.
On October 29, 1960 Roger married Nancy (nee Bowes), at Transfiguration Church in Wauconda. They have been inseparable ever since. He was employed at Conlon Collins Ford for 50 years. He had a passion for selling cars and appreciated all of his customers, who he considered his friends. Roger was a family man and loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.
Roger will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Nancy; his children, Michelle (Joe) Villicana and Melissa (Todd) May all of Crystal Lake; his grandchildren, Noelle and Nick Villicana and Morgan and Trevor May; brother, Charles (Judi) Walneck. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Hotovy and step-father Chas Hotovy; his siblings, Alice, Ed, Marnie, Rudy.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Memorial mass will be Friday, January 29 at 11 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. All are invited to go directly to church.
