The funeral service for Ron Bederske,70, of Barrington will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St. (Lake –Cook Rd.), Barrington with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. The visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Born January 20, 1941 in Algonquin, Ron passed away peacefully, January 12, 2012 at Advocate Christ Hospital, Oak Lawn.
Ron worked as a Heavy Equipment operator for Elmhurst Chicago Stone where he retired. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Ron loved sports, fishing and attending his children’s football, basketball, softball and baseball games.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn (nee Kuhl), whom he married Sept 10 1966 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Barrington; children, Brian T. Bederske of Barrington and Katherine J. (Tom) Haughey of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Tommy and Kaitlynn Haughey; and many loving nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert John and Dorothy I (nee Brooke) Bederske and sister, Janet Knipfel
