Ronald Frank Arnold

Ron F. Arnold, 68, of Volo, IL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Loyola University Medical Center. He was the loving husband of 25 years to Karen Arnold (nee Kolo).

Ron was born in Chicago, IL to Donald F. and Charlotte M. Arnold (nee Brud). He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Karen Arnold and his five children, Ronald F. (Jennifer) Arnold II, Jodi L. (Joe) Pinello, Tracy L. (David) Naskrent-Arnold, Hana M. Arnold and Don J. Arnold. He has also left behind his grandchildren Austin Calderini, Ronald Arnold III, Jenna Arnold, Connor Naskrent, Alec John Arnold, Colin Naskrent and Jefery Thomas Arnold; his father, Donald F. Arnold; his sister, Constance M. (James) Lavaty, and his brother, Daniel M. (Karen) Arnold; his nephews, James Lavaty (son Oliver Lavaty) and Michael Arnold; and his niece, Cassidy Arnold.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte M. Arnold, and his granddaughter, Isabella T. Pinello.

Ron was a proud Veteran of the US Army and an accomplished businessman who loved and supported his family. He was an avid Chicago sports fan and an animal lover. He prized his time with his family and his pets. Ron would say his biggest achievement was his family. He could make anyone laugh with his jokes and his laughter was contagious.

Visitation is being held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 4:00-9:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, Illinois, 60014. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 10:00am until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the Arnold family has asked that donations be made to the ASPCA, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, in Ron’s name.
