Ronald Beier, Jr

Ronald Beier, Jr., 52, of Crystal Lake and Daytona Beach, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Daytona Beach of complications related to colon cancer.

Born January 27, 1962 in Daytona Beach, he was the son of Ronald, Sr. and Judith Anne (nee McNeil) Beier. Ron Graduated from Crystal Lake High School in 1980 and received a BA from the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle. He married Nancy Kelley on December 16, 2010.

Ron was the recipient of numerous awards for education and humanitarian efforts. He retired as Executive Director of First Institute, Inc. in Crystal Lake. A man of many interests, Ron enjoyed skydiving, bungee jumping, volleyball, sun tanning, traveling, listening to music, and spending time with friends on the lake.

Ron is survived by his wife, Nancy; his father, Ron Beier, Sr.; brother Eric; and brother Kurt and his wife, Missy and their children, Keegan, Quinn, and Eveyln Judith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Anne Beier.

A memorial visitation to celebrate Ron’s life will be held Saturday, March 1 from 1pm until 4:30pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt. 176), Crystal Lake.
