Ronald “Ron” Kenneth Manley, 51 of Palatine, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 on the way to the hospital.

Ron was born July 22, 1969 in Park Ridge, IL to Kenneth and Renee (nee Jucka) Manley. He graduated from Rolling Meadows High School in 1987 and then earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Winona State University in 1991.

Ron was truly passionate about warehouse and safety management and was last a plant supervisor at Dayton. He was an avid sports enthusiast with a love for baseball, basketball, bowling, and football. The Ohio State was his #1.

He spent most of his weekends with a good beer, and a freshly cut yard.

Ron is survived by his wife, Mollie Jo (Mercer) Manley of 26 years as of May 21, 1994; his two children, Amber Nicole Manley and Kyle Kenneth Manley; his mother, Renee Manley; brother, Randy (Michelle Kehr) Manley; mother-in-law, Bonnie Mercer; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mandie Schaefer, Patrick Mercer and Michael Mercer; godson, Drake Roberts; and goddaughter, Madison Manley; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Manley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10, from 9:00am until 12:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Lake Zurich. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ron’s children to put towards their college tuition.
