Ronald James Victorine passed from this earthly life into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on July 5, 2022 at the age of 79. He was born on January 9, 1943 to Robert and Alice (Kollenkark) Victorine in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
After graduating from Crystal Lake Community High School in 1961, he followed his passion and dreams of joining the US Navy. He was proud to serve his country aboard the USS Canberra and was most notably deployed to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Anyone who knew Ron, knows well that these years in the Navy were memorable and very special to him as he loved to regale anyone who would listen with stories of the Navy.
Following his military service, Ron worked for United Airlines and was a loyal employee for over 34 years. Shortly after starting with United, he met, fell in love with and married Noreen Love on November 4, 1972. Ron had every intention of celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary together with Noreen in a few months, but our Lord had other plans for him.
As he and Noreen grew their family, Ron pursued his education at Northeastern University. Ron was a life-long follower of Jesus Christ and was an active member of Lord and Savior Lutheran Church. He is now celebrating eternal life at the side of his Savior.
Life will not be the same for Ron’s loving wife of 49 years, Noreen Victorine or for their three children: Matthew (Kelly) Victorine, Sara (John) Huser, and Jill (Jonathan) Nehring. In addition, he is also survived by the 8 grandchildren that brought him immeasurable joy: Oli and Jorne Victorine, John, Luke, Samuel, and Tessa Huser and Lillian and Eli Nehring. Nothing made Ron happier than being a “Papa” and spending time with his grandkids. He loved watching their sporting events and teaching them to fish. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Barbara) Victorine, a niece, Molly Victorine, a nephew, Todd Victorine and many beloved extended family members.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Randy Victorine, and two nieces, Meredith Victorine Armour, and Megan Victorine Cochran.
