Roque S. Olivera, Jr. “Butch” of Crystal Lake, passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 81.
He was born October 19, 1940 in the Philippines, the son of the late Roque T. and Elizabeth (nee Sigmund) Olivera.
On November 12, 1966, Roque was united in marriage to Xenia Magbanua.
Roque was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served with the 173rd Airborne.
Roque is survived by his loving wife, Xenia; his beloved children, Russell (Tracey), Marc, and Nicole; his cherished grandsons, Christian and Cameron; and his loving siblings, Fiza, Carol, Douglas, Frank, and Robert.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin.
The funeral Mass for Roque will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake.
