Rose Marie Partyka, 90, died peacefully Monday, December 31, 2018 in Crystal Lake.
Rose married her beloved husband, Richard Partyka, on June 28, 1947. They celebrated 65 years of a wonderful marriage, raising three daughters in northwest Chicago. As a homemaker, Rose enjoyed baking and sharing her love of cooking with family. She so loved hosting her many holiday dinners for family and friends. Rose also enjoyed shopping excursions with her daughters and grandchildren.
Rose was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and an active member of the St. Theresa guild. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Little Christopher shop.
Rose is survived by her three daughters, Bonnie (Ed) Dean of Lake Geneva, Lynn (Jeff Sr.) Faye of Crystal Lake, and Lori (Jim) Lynch of Parker, CO. She fondly loved her grandchildren, Kimberly (Steve) Scherrer, Ed (Ellie) Dean, Patrick (Sheri) Dean, Jeff Jr. (Katie) Faye, Chris (Sasha) Faye, Olivia Lynch, and Erin Lynch; and nine great-grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband Richard, and siblings Joan, Jack and Dan.
The family would like to thank the Bickford of Crystal Lake for their professional and loving care of Rose for the past five years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JourneyCare Hospice Foundation, 405 Lake Zurich Rd, Barrington, IL 60010.
Visitations will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Visiting will continue the following day, Friday, January 4, from 9:30 a.m. until prayers said at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with procession to follow to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, for the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
