Rosemary L. (Lafferty) Farver

Rosemary L. Farver, 62, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

Rosemary (Rose) was born on August 29, 1959 in La Habra, California. She was the third of five children born to Hugh R. Lafferty and Barbara Lafferty (Eberl). After their time in California, her family moved to Tokyo, Japan and then to Illinois where Rose settled and started a life of her own.

People were drawn to Rose by her kindness, sense of humor and passion. During her professional career, she and her husband, Don, built and operated a successful irrigation company in the Chicagoland area. Rose was always a mother first though - loving, dedicated and vibrant. Her husband and children are deeply proud to have her as their wife and mom.

She enjoyed the warm weather and spending time in her gardens. She loved her perennial flower garden, a haven for bumblebees and hummingbirds and a gathering place for family and friends. Her homemade cookies and cakes were the best, always made with love and extra vanilla. She adored her grandson, Sean, and told him so every day.

Rose was a bright light on this earth and the world will be a little dimmer without her. She will truly be missed.

Left to celebrate her life are her husband Don, and children Julie, Ken (Claudia), Laura (Ryan), and Olivia (Korbin); grandson Sean; her mother, Barbara; her sisters, Kathleen and Susan; her brother, Hugh; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh, and brother, John.

Services will be held privately.
