Ross Prince

Ross T. Prince, 81, of Barrington passed away peacefully on March 7, 2017. He was born in Copper Cliff, Ontario, Canada on August 3, 1935 to Arthur and Frances (nee Ballantyne) Prince.

Ross graduated from the University of Toronto Engineering school where he was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Ross was a scout leader and enjoyed photography, music, gardening, bag pipes and fishing.

Ross was united in marriage to Genge (Carol) (nee Walker) on September 12, 1959 in Port Credit, Ontario, Canada; they celebrated 57 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Ross will be deeply missed by his children, Bill (Nancy) Prince, Roslynn (Bill) Riley and Vikki (Dan) Merchant; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Megan, Matthew, Blair, Katy, Ross, Ian and Grace; his siblings, Joyce (Bruce) Halsey, Douglas Prince and Jean (Jack) Cornthwaite.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, William (the late Winifred) Prince and Ruth (the late Jerry) McWhirter; and by his sister-in-law, Margo Prince. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017, from 9 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010. Interment will be private.
