Ross Teresi, Sr

Ross Joseph Teresi, Sr., 87, of Crystal Lake, IL passed away peacefully January 12, 2016 in Naples, FL. He was born December 30, 1928 to Frank and Rose (nee Fiore) Teresi in Chicago, IL.

He married the love of his life Arlene (nee Kazmarek) on June 11, 1955 in Chicago IL. After graduating Foreman High School in Chicago, IL he served in the US Army during the Korean War. After his service he completed Barber College and became a Barber. He was part owner of the Cary Barber Shop 1958-1992. In 1992 he retired and spent the winters in Naples, FL. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.

He is survived by his spouse of 60 years, Arlene Teresi; sister Mica Bingham and a brother Frank (Artis) Teresi; five children, Ross (Helen) Teresi, Steve (Wendy) Teresi, Greg (Denise) Teresi, Mark (Chris Morse) Teresi, Sharon (Kirk) Sohm; 15 Grandchildren, Ross (Shannon) Teresi III, Kelly (Al) Nava, Vanessa (Nic) Nepomiachi, Tod Teresi, Chad (Jennifer) Teresi, Samuel Teresi, Brandon (Corey Cusak) Teresi, Megan Teresi, Melissa (Lamar Price) Teresi, Sarah (Rob) Smerling, Alexis Teresi, Erik Sohm, Nathan Sohm, Nicholas Sohm, Anna Sohm; and 17 Great-Grandchildren, Chloe, JaKayla ,Noah, Bentley, Kyree, Isabella, Vincent, Vivian, Chase, Luke, Makayla, Piper, Karlee, Trystin, Carson, Addison, and Jones.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Genevieve Bock.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 22, from 4 pm until 8:30 pm at Davenport Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte 176), Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue at the Funeral Home on Saturday morning, January 23, from 8:00 am until 9:15 am with a procession St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, for Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
