Roy Anderson

Roy W. Anderson, 83, of Addison, IL, passed away December 1, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Chicago on November 26, 1933 to Roy and Mary (nee Kuhn) Anderson.
Roy was a graduate of St. George High School where he played football, the sport he loved very much. He married Jean Rizzo on June 1, 1963. Together they raised four daughters. Roy worked for Mars Candy Company in Oak Park, retiring in 1993.
He loved nature and enjoyed sharing his love of astronomy with others and playing card games with his family. His Catholic faith was very important to him. He was an alter server for daily mass for over 30 years.
Roy is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters, Linda (Edward) Andre, Janice (Ben) Costantino, Laura Anderson, and Amy Anderson; grandchildren, Stephanie, Donald, Richard, Jonathan, Ronald, Christopher, Kayla, Angelo, and Ava; great granddaughter, Mary-Jane.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 7, from 10:00 am until the time of a funeral mass at 12:00 noon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake. Interment will be held privately at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, River Grove.
