Russell Warren Ryan

Russell Warren Ryan, 90, of Barrington was born February 24, 1928 in Kalamazoo Township, Michigan to Corneilia and Floyd Ryan. He passed away peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2018 in Lake Zurich.

Russ was a proud veteran of the United States Navy who was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon and a WWII Victory Metal.

Russ is survived by his children, Kathleen (Samuel) LaSusa, Steven (Lily) Ryan, Christine (Steven) Squires, and Aileen (Chuck) Kraft; his grandchildren, Russell (Jacqueline) Busse, Wesley Busse, Carl (Lisa) Busse, Shirlyn (Josh) Lagaspi, Leizel (Ben) Joyce, Clayton Herriman, Ashley (Jessie) Williams, Kristy (Nolan) Woodworth, Larry Kraft, Steven Kraft, Valarie (Bradley) Zilbersher, Matthew (Heather) LaSusa, Larry LaSusa, Deanna (David) Hotchner, and Jenene (Michael) Barron; his great grandchildren, Nicole (Paul) Gavin, Russell (Brit) Busse, Sarah (William) Mueth, Laurin Busse, Donald Busse, Sean Busse, Kevin Busse, Cali Busse, Julian Lagaspi, Victoria Lagaspi, Ryan Joyce, Eva Joyce, Tyler Dearborn, Alyssa Vigil, Aubrey Williams, Leah Williams, Wyatt Woodworth, Nicholas Zilbersher, Alexander Zilbersher, Jason LaSusa, Cara LaSusa, Michael LaSusa, Anna LaSusa, Samuel LaSusa, Anthony Hotchner, and Natalie Hotchner; and his great great granddaughter, Isla Jean Gavin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia Jean (nee Urban) Ryan; his brothers, James, Herbert, William (Mary), and Fr. Brian Ryan.

Visitation will be held from 3-8pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich. Prayers will be said at 9am, Friday, November 23, 2018 at the funeral home, proceeding to Transfiguration Parish, 316 W. Mills St., Wauconda for Mass at 10am. Burial at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Wisconsin Veterans Home, 21425 G Spring St., Union Grove, WI 53182.
