Ruth Irene Brauneis

Ruth Irene Brauneis, 91, of Barrington, formerly of Minocqua, WI, at rest Monday, October 2, 2017.

Ruth was united in marriage to Joseph Edward Brauneis on September 11, 1948 in Gary, Indiana. She became a homemaker, raising their 3 children in Merrillville, Indiana and Darien, Illinois. Ruth was also employed with Sears Corporation for over 20 years.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Dick) Stevens, Larry (Dee Ann) and Jerry (Carol); her grandchildren, Michael (Angela), Amy, Brent (Anna), Lauren (Will), Mark (Caitlin), Eric (Lindsay), Taylor, and Caitlin; her great-grandchildren, Avery, Caroline, Alexander, Isabel, Joseph, and Lillian; and her sisters-in-law, Betty and Lorraine.

In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William Massey, Mary Nichols, and Joan Lee Shock.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, October 4th from 4-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 5th at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI with burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Woodruff.
