Ruth M. Farmer

Ruth Mary Farmer (nee Davies), 58, of Long Grove, was born on August 13, 1960 to the late Richard and Ruth Davies and passed away surrounded by her family on January 12, 2019. Ruth was the loving wife and best friend of Craig Farmer for 33 years; cherished and devoted mother of Natalie, Stephanie, and Dane Farmer; and dear aunt of 7 nieces and nephews. Ruth was also preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Lee and Rick Davies.

Ruth founded the Candy Cottage of Lake Zurich and was previously a clinical psychologist at the University of Chicago. She will be remembered for her radiance, love for life, and unwavering faith.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19 from 10:00am until the time of her Memorial Service at 11:00am at Long Grove Community Church, 1110 Robert Coffin Rd., Long Grove, IL 60047. A celebration will be held afterwards during a luncheon in the Community House. Ruth and her family would appreciate if visitors wear bright colors to honor her vibrancy.
