Crystal Lake, Illinois,KING Visitation for Samuel "Sam" King, age 71, of Crystal Lake, will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, from 3pm until the time of service at 7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Avenue (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be private. Born February 12, 1939 in Leroy, Alabama, he passed away on April 24, 2010 in Woodstock. Sam was a Postal Carrier for the U.S. Post Office, Crystal Lake, for over 18 years, and retired in November of 2008. He was an Army Veteran. He is survived by his beloved stepdaughter Dreena (David) Freeman: three loving grandchildren Dawn, Derek, and Darian Freeman; dear sisters Clora May and Joyce Hogi and brothers Dave (Helen) King, Thomas (Perla) King, William (Vera) King, and Nathaniel King; and his loving girlfriend Leili Parts. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille, parents Willie and Minnie, and brothers Joe and James.
