Samuel Francione, 82, of Inverness passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at his home. He was born on March 23, 1933 in Chicago.

Samuel is a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He married his wife, Barbara, on November 19, 2005.

Samuel is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Nanc Jean (Leroy Christen) Francione of Tempe, AZ, Brian (Susan) Francione of Mesa, AZ, and Dana Carpenter of Schaumburg; step-daughters, Stephanie (Michael) McCorkle of Burr Ridge and Amy (Michael) Hawk-Lopez of Oak Park; grandchildren, Nichole Landau, Angela Planer, Brandon Francione, Lauren Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Cameron Lopez, and Gwenyth Lopez; great grandchildren, Jaden, Jordan, and Riley Landau, Thomas, William, Nicholas, George, and Jonathan Planer; brother, John (Gerry) Francione of Palatine; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wives, Nancy Francione and Marge Schweiger Francione; and son, Lawrence Francione.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8 from 3 to 8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington. Visitation will continue Wednesday, December 9 at Holy Family Parish, 2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, from 9:30am until the time of the funeral mass at 10:30am. Entombment will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
