Sara Jane (Moehling) Boulahanis

Sara Jane Boulahanis (nee Moehling), 42, of McHenry, formerly of Marengo, passed away peacefully August 17, 2022. She was born March 27, 1980, in Rockford, IL to Dennis and Deborah Moehling.

Sara passionately dedicated over 20 years of service at KinderCare where she worked in various positions. She enjoyed spending all available time with her family at Fish Lake Beach.

Sara is survived by her loving husband, Dimitrios, whom she married September 2, 2007; cherished son, Zander; cherished stepson, Nikos; her beloved parents, Dennis and Deborah (nee Dinley) Moehling; Maternal grandparents, Russ (Jackie) Dinley; uncles, Brad Dinley, Mike (Shelia) Dinley, Don Moehling, and Dale (Brenda) Moehling; mother-in-law, Nancy Boulahanis, brother-in-law, Thomas (Anna) Boulahanis, and John (Angela) Boulahanis.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert (Vera) Moehling; and father-in-law, George T. Boulahanis.

Visitation will be held Sunday, from 2-7 pm with a service at 5:30 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
