Shirley Burnett

Shirley was born May 7, 1933 to Ernst and Irene (Sass) Schmook and passed away on August 26, 2021.  She graduated from Maine Township High School in 1950. She worked for the Superintendent of Schools in Des Plaines, District 62 until her marriage in 1954 to Charles Jacolucci. She married William “Bill” Burnett in 1962. Her career at the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce lasted 27 years. Surviving her are daughters, Linda Jacolucci, Deb (Tom) Hay, Linda (Charles) Schaefer, Kathy (Paul) Seekings; her sister, Betty Oleson; nieces, Cindy Oleson and Judy Below; grandchildren, Scot (Laura) Hay, Heather (Joel) Kriete, Jon (Cheryl) Schaefer, and Brad (Sara) Schaefer; great-grandchildren, Colin and Erik Hay, Maddux and Mason Kriete, Riley Schaefer, and Charlie and Parker Schaefer. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bill; daughter, Gail; four infants; and brother-in-law, Ken Oleson. Shirley volunteered at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salvation Army, and Kiwanis Club. Her interests included traveling, sewing, and doing jigsaw puzzles. Please omit flowers. A Visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 10:00am until the time of her Funeral Service at 11:00am at The Pointe Out-reach Center, 5650 Northwest Hwy, Crystal Lake, IL. Interment will be held at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL.
