Shirley Krueger

Shirley Rose Krueger, Crystal Lake, passed away December 8, 2014 on her 88th birthday. She was born in 1926 to Ray and Lucy Edwards in Bartlett, IL.
On February 6, 1948 she married Lawrence “Mike” Krueger at the First Baptist Church in Elgin. He preceded her in death in 2006. They were charter members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Cary.
Shirley is survived by her children, Sharon (Larry) Lavine of Crystal Lake, Sandra (Mike Flood) Cunningham of Stevensville, MI, and James (Julie) Krueger of Crystal Lake; grandchildren, Shauna (Beth Bender) Cunningham, Mike Lavine, Dan Cunningham, Matt (Erica) Lavine, Jennifer Lavine, and Jeff Krueger; great-grandchildren, Anna and Connor; brother, James (Linda) Edwards of Elgin; and sister-in-law, Judy Edwards of Belvidere; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Vernon, Virgil, Bob, Donald, Lucille, and Doreen.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 12th, from 6-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 W Terra Cotta Ave (Rte 176) Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 13th, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Rd, Cary, IL 60013. Graveside will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
