Shirley Mesler

Shirley Ann Mesler, 72, of Crystal Lake died Monday, May 25, 2015. She was born August 24, 1942 in Highland Park, MI to William and Shirley (nee Leroue) Tarnosky.

She lived most of her life in MI, until moving to New Port Richey, FL in 2013. In late 2014, she moved to Crystal Lake.

Shirley kept busy spending time with grandchildren, volunteering at their schools and at Vacation Bible School, reading mystery novels, and bird watching.

Survivors include daughters, Renee (Jerry) Lyons and Melissa Ackerson; grandchildren, Megan, Dan, Jack, and Madeline Lyons, Kort (Elizabeth) Nyland, William and Timothy Ackerson; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Benjamin Nyland; brother, Bill (Kathy) Tarnosky; sister, Carol (Eric) Van Omen;nephew, Marc Tarnosky; and nieces, Amy Tarnosky, and Theresa and Lindsay Baar.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Harold Mesler whom she married on December 19, 1989.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 29th, from 9 am-11:30 am at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte 176), Crystal Lake. Funeral Mass will following at 12 noon at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake.
