Shirley Mizwicki

Shirley L. Mizwicki,83, of Crystal Lake passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 in Crystal Lake. She was born April 27, 1928 in Chicago to Henry and Lillian (nee Bischoff) Prokes. Shirley married Frank Mizwicki on August 23, 1947 in Chicago. She was a longtime and dedicated member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake.

Shirley is survived by her children, Keith (Diane) Mizwicki of Quincy, Kristine (Donald) Powers of Marengo and Carol (Dennis) Roewer of Crystal Lake; her grandchildren, Paul (Sheryl) and Mathew (Sepideh) Mizwicki, Jamie Powers, Jodi (Daniel) Johnson, Jeremy (Rachel) Powers, Frederick and Jesse Roewer; her great-grandchildren, Tiam and Cyra Mizwicki; Abigail Powers; Ashley Gruel; Addison and Kyle Johnson; Nolan Hopper. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and in 1997 by her husband Frank. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 178 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake; with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials, in her name may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 S. Pathway Ct., Crystal Lake, IL 60014; Faith in Action, 7105 Virginia Rd. #21, Crystal Lake, IL 60014-7986 or Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington IL 60010.
