Shirley Jane Teetsov

Shirley Jane Teetsov, 83, of Crystal Lake, IL, was born February 18, 1935 in Harvard, IL to Burtic Dewey and Gertrude (Whaples) Deithloff.  She passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018 in Woodstock.

Shirley worked as a Bell telephone operator, a seamstress at the Strand Dress factory in Woodstock, answering service operator and customer service representative for the Speiss Company.  She loved to travel and made several cross country trips with her husband in a trailer to Florida, California and Canada.   Shirley loved to garden and considered weeding a meditation and therapy process.  She had a very creative mind that inspired her when she crocheted, knitted, sewed and painted.  Shirley loved the computer and used it to communicate with friends and family across the country, making cards, using Skype and email.  She was a member of the MC3 McHenry County computer club, several years as the secretary.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack Teetsov; her two daughters, Lee Anne Fredericks (Ralph Clatterbuck) of Kingston, New Hampshire and Susan Marie Wegner (Steven Wegner) of Spring Grove; and her cat, Mia.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her uncle, Evert Whaples; and her grandparents, Elizabeth and Loren Putnam.

Services and interment will be private.
