Stacy (Boike) Chandler

Stacy Chandler, 66, of Cary, passed away December 24, 2017. She was born June 22, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan.

Stacy will be dearly remembered for her charismatic personality, sense of humor and unfiltered opinions.  A free spirit, she had a nurturing, giving heart.  Stacy was wonderfully creative, an avid reader and loved to learn.  She earned her degree in criminal justice from Wayne State University and became a private investigator and was only a few credits short of earning a robotics degree.  Most recently, Stacy had driven a school bus for district 300.

Stacy is survived her daughter, Wendy (Marvin) Basch; and her granddaughter, Chloe Basch, whom she frequently doted on and spoiled often.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Paulina Boike.

A memorial service for Stacy will be held in the spring at St. Margaret Mary church.
