Lake Barrington, Illinois,Stanley A. Glow, 94, formerly of Evanston, Illinois and a resident of Lake Barrington since 2005, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011. He was born December 16, 1916 in Toledo, Ohio to Mary and Stanley Glowczewski. Stanley was the beloved husband for 69 years to the late Dorothy Glow. Graduating with degrees from Eastern Michigan and the University of Michigan, he taught at Michigan State and Evanston Township High School. It was there he was Department Chair for Industrial Education, and later was Superintendent of Building and Grounds. He was a devoted family man and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He lived to support the grandchildren?s activities no matter where their interests took them. Survivors include his son Judd (Margie) Glow of Cary, a daughter Marcia Glow of Los Angeles; and grandchildren Eric (Kim) Glow, Meghan Glow, and Alessandra Toresanni. Services will be scheduled in Toledo, Ohio at a later date.
