The Mass of Christian Burial for Stanley A. Kozubek, 90, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 10, at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St. (at the corner of Franklin St.), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
There will also be a visitation from 3-7 p.m., Thursday, May 9, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.
Born March 22, 1923, in Chicago, he passed away Monday, May 6, 2013, at Pine Lane Therapy and Living Center, Mountain Home, AR.
Mr. Kozubek was a setup man/machinist, who retired from Barco, after working there for 31 years. He served in the Army during World War II, and was part of the Normandy invasion.
Mr. Kozubek was a member of the Young at Heart Club, Barrington Area Council on Aging, Friday Group, and Barrington Area Seniors Group.
Survivors include his daughters, Constance (Leonard) Smith of Bourbonnais and Bonita (Anthony) Valentino of Mountain Home; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Larry (Ashley), and Jennifer Smith; great-grandson, Landon Smith; siblings, Ted (Beverly) Kozubek of Franklin Park and Virginia (Armando) Andreini of Sun City, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Valeria (nee Butkiewicz) and Frances Ann (nee Wysocki); parents, Valentine and Julia (nee Sczur) Kozubek; and by siblings, Casey (Virginia), Joseph, and Jean Kozubek and Sophie Klisiewicz.
