Stephanie M. DiCara

Stephanie M. DiCara, 30, of Lake Barrington passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on June 22, 2021. She was born on March 7, 1991 in Arlington Heights, IL to Mark and Theresa “Terri” DiCara.

For over 30 years, Stephanie struggled with her disability which turned to suffering as each year went by. But she did it all with dignity, perseverance, bravery and faith. She never once complained about sacrificing her life and all the severe pain she suffered during it. Her only complaint was if I failed to have her Portillo‘s beef dipped. She will be sorely missed but her inspiration to many will never end.

Stephanie will be deeply missed by her loving parents; her cherished sister, Gina DiCara; her furry friends, Sable and Carmela; and by countless friends who she inspired.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 2 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010. Visitation will resume on Monday, June 28 from 9 AM until the time of Mass at 10 AM at Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 N. Ela Street (Corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.), Barrington. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
