He was born July 24, 1943 in Chicago, the son of Howard and Marcia Bright.
Steve graduated from Automation Institute and was a proud member of Teamsters. On June 19, 1965 he married the love of his life at St. Anne’s in Barrington, IL. They were blessed to have enjoyed 55 years of marriage. Steve was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for 50 years. There he served as a lector and usher where he made everyone feel welcome with his contagious smile. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus Council 3880 where he served as membership chairman. He was proud to have organized Operation Support our Troops and initiated involvement with PADS.
Steve enjoyed model airplane club and fishing where he was one of the original members of the Crystal Lake Anglers as well as past President. He spent winters in Sun City West, AZ, his happy place. He often shot in the desert with friends and drove his golf cart.
