Steven Beard

Barrington, Illinois,A memorial service for Steven F, Beard, III , age 61, will be held at 11:00am, Friday, December 3, 2010 at Salem United Methodist Church, 115 W. Lincoln Ave, Barrington, where the family will be receiving guests from 10:00am, until the time of service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. There will also be a memorial visitation from 5-9 p.m., Thursday, December 2, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Born March 22, 1949, in Dallas, TX, he passed away November 20,2010, at the Pepper Family Hospice House in Barrington. Steven enjoyed his retirement as owner, breeder, and handler of Summit Bulldogs. He enjoyed traveling the country showing his champion English Bulldogs. Steven also founded Northwest Paving, LLC with his son. Most of his professional years were spent in television/radio advertising and sales. He also enjoyed his college years at Centenary College of Louisiana where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Survivors include his wife, Nancy M. (nee McDonel); children, Kelly B. Brand of Buffalo Grove and Steven F. Beard IV of Fox River Grove; grandchildren, Allison and Claire Brand; and brother, Paul Ellis (Kim) Beard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven F. and Elise (nee Adams) Beard Jr.; and sister, Becky E. Beard.
