Sue Smith

Sue was born April 26, 1937 in Burlington, IA to Charles and Maxine Ihrer.  She passed away peacefully at her home in Elgin March 13, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church in Schaumburg where she volunteered her time teaching her crafting skills to parishioners.

Sue is survived by her husband,Kenneth, they would have been married 60 years in June. She is also survived by her children; Karen (David Carr) Smith, Sherry (late Mitch) Kinstler, and Kevin (Elizabeth) Smith; grandchildren, James (Amanda Zika) DiVerde, Joe (Fara) DiVerde, Kristina Kinstler, Jacob (Lauren) Kinstler, Jordan Kinstler, Grace Kinstler, and Nicole Kaminski; great grandchildren, William, Margaret, and Giuseppe DiVerde; and sister, Sally (Barry) Starmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son in law, Mitch.

Services for Sue will be held privately.
