Summer Elizabeth Gene LeFever, 19, passed away on January 22, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas. Born on September 5, 2005, Summer was known for her fearless, outgoing personality and her innate ability to make and nurture friendships wherever she went. Smart and caring, she had a profound impact on those around her.
Summer was a student at Woodstock High School and had a deep love for animals, which was evident in every part of her life. She embraced fun, cherished her friends, and found joy in creating TikTok content—always keeping up with the latest trending dances. She was the life of every party and an unwavering defender of anyone in need. If you knew Summer, you knew she would always have your back.
She leaves behind a loving extended family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her stepfather, Carlos Cortes, stepmother, Nicole Free, and father, Geno LeFever; her sisters, and Melanie Higgins and Jaclyn Quinn; her brothers, Drake, Jason (Jessica), Carlitos, Logan, Lucas, and Carter; and her grandparents, Jan and Wally, and Wendy and Tim. She was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends—"you know who you are."
Summer was preceded in death by her mother, Amanda Suman.
Summer’s vibrant spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Summer’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 22 from 4pm until a service at 7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
