Suzanne R. Boyle

Suzanne Rakestraw Boyle, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 21, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

Suzanne was born in Chicago, IL on December 14, 1945, and was an active member of St. Anne Catholic Community in Barrington, IL. After many years of dedicated service, Suzanne retired as the Treasurer of Woods Fund of Chicago. Suzanne enjoyed reading, gardening, attending the opera, sewing, and traveling the world with her husband, Gene. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

Suzanne is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Eugene “Gene” Boyle; loving children, Geno (Kathryn) Boyle, Lynn (Jay) Nimrod, and Kevin (Laura) Boyle; grandchildren, Laura (Mike DeGrace), Alex (Tash), Owen, Quinn, Katie, Maggie, and Nora Boyle, and Joe and Jack Nimrod; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Aiden Boyle, and Hunter DeGrace; loving aunt of Ed and Lisa Fikeys.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Ginny (nee Kavka) Rakestraw; and sister, Bonnie (the late Ed) Fikeys. 

A visitation for Suzanne will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Community, 120 Ela St., Barrington, IL 60010 from 9:30am until the time of mass at 11am. Burial to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Suzanne’s name may be made to St. Anne Catholic Community.
