Sybil J. (Phipps) Cornett
March 29, 1940 — May 28, 2017
Sybil was born March 29, 1940 in Lynch, KY to W.C. and Thelma Phipps. She passed away peacefully May 28, 2017 at JourneyCare in Woodstock.
Sybil was a loving, and doting mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughters; Vickie Pecoraro, Brenda Cornett, and Kim (Tim) Cederlund; grandchildren, Rhianna (Travis) Price, John (Chrissie) Janikowski, Beckie Janikowski, Luke Pecoraro, and Tyler, Wesley, and William Cederlund; great grandchildren, Julio, Grant, Ava, and Trevor; and siblings, Joe (Lorene)Phipps, Margaret Shepherd, Billy (Pauline) Phipps, and Kay (Dan) Ison. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Virgil, parents, and siblings, Robert, Mary, David, and Doug.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Wednesday, May 31 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Funeral services will be at 10am, Thursday, June 1 at First United Methodist Church, 236 W. Crystal Lake Ave, Crystal Lake followed by burial in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
