Tequis "TJ" Hines, Jr.

TJ Hines, of Elgin, passed away suddenly on February 11, 2020. He was born on December 25, 1999 to Jacqueline Wagener (Eric Malcolm) and Tequis Hines (Jennifer Roche).

TJ was a wonderful big brother to Nicholas and Bella Hines. His grandparents Robert and Pauline Cundiff, Michael and Valerie Casson, and Joe Wagener, his many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends will remember him for his big heart. TJ attended Elgin High School where he played football for the Maroons. He liked to skateboard and was very creative. He had a love of music and dancing, writing, and drawing. TJ spent a lot of time hanging out with his friends; he was truly kind to all. His infectious laugh and smile could light up any room.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18th from 10:00 am until the time of his service at 1:00 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Crystal Lake.
