Terence "Terry" Pinch
July 11, 1929 — April 22, 2017
Terence “Terry” L. Pinch, 87, of Lake in the Hills, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 22, 2017. He was born July 11, 1929 in England to Leslie and Violet (nee Collings) Pinch.
Terry was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean War. He enjoyed boxing while he was in the Army. Terry loved being by the water and enjoying sunny days on the beach. Terry met his wife Maria in Chicago at a Valentine’s Day Dance. They were united in marriage on February 11, 1956 and celebrated 61 joyous years.
Terry will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Maria (nee DeIulis); his daughters, Terri (Kevin) Mylander and Kim (Brian) Harper; grandchildren, Shannon (Matt) Green, Daniel Mylander, Cori (Zach) Williams, Kelsey (fiancé Conor Smith) and Taylor Harper; great-granddaughter, Lylah; siblings, Alan (Sherry) Gasteier and Judith (Roger) Mortimer. Many loving nieces, nephews and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Trevor.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, April 28 from 10am until the Celebration of Life service at 11am at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
