Terry Szarmack

Terry Lynn Szarmack, 67, of Palatine, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2015. He was born on July 6, 1948 in Chicago to Frank C. and Opal E. (nee Hainy) Szarmack.

Terry was a proud Vietnam-era veteran of the United States Army, where he served in Germany. He was a loyal caregiver to his parents who preceded him in death. He was employed as an analyst for United Airlines for many years. Terry greatly enjoyed travelling, antiquing and watching the Chicago Bears, Cubs and Bulls.

Terry will be deeply missed by his loving cousin, Jane (Andy) Groeper of Metamora, IL and by his long-time friends Dave (Mary) Derda of Mt. Prospect, IL. Additional family in Northern Wisconsin also survive.

Services with military rites and inurnment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips, WI, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15. Heindl Funeral Home of Phillips is assisting with local arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alexian Brothers Foundation, or Catholic Charities.
