Theodore Alsdorf Girard,91, of Barrington passed away, Sunday, June 10,2012, at his home.
He was born on April 22,1921, to Leonard and Florence Girard, in Fall River, MA.
The chemical business was very important to Theodore. He held twenty-one U.S patents and published six publications as a chemist. He had his private pilot’s license and was also an instructor pilot. He loved everything about flying; he was a member of the Pennsylvania Civil Air Patrol and the Quiet Birdmen. Theodore loved his animals; gorillas and dogs being his favorite.
Theodore is survived by his children, Elisa (Malcolm) Kendal-Ward, Ellen (Michael) LeMonier; grandchildren, Melanie (Vick) Moore, Richard Kendal-Ward, Ryan (Klara) LeMonier, Christopher (Naida) LeMonier, and Michael (Snezana) LeMonier; great grandchildren, Timothy, Tegan, Kristina, Daniel, Leah and Annika. He will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Girard, who passed away in 1996.
Visitation will be held from 10-11a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St.,(corner of Franklin and Ela Streets), Barrington, IL 60010.
Burial will follow immediately at St. Michael Cemetery, Palatine.
