Theresa Rose (Mei) Huddleston

Theresa Rose (Mei) Huddleston, 68, of Elgin, was born July 11, 1950 in Greenville, MS to Louis and Amerina (nee Biagioli) Mei. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Elgin.

Theresa was raised in Shaw, MS and relocated to the St. Louis, MO area where she met her husband, David. She and David moved to North Little Rock, AR in the early 1980's and finally to Elgin, IL in 1991, while raising their two children. Theresa was a great cook and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She also loved seeing and spending time with her grandchildren whenever she had a chance. Her kind, generous spirit will be cherished by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Theresa is survived by her spouse of 44 years, David Huddleston; her children, Sherry (Mel) Alonso and David (Sanae) Huddleston; her grandchildren, Victoria Alonso, Alex Alonso, Isabela Alonso, David Huddleston, and Sophia Huddleston; and her sister, Stella (Patrick) Corley.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Parks; infant brother, Louis Marion Mei; and her parents.

The family will receive guests from 1pm until time of prayer service at 3pm, Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.
