Therese Jeannette Rohrbacher (nee Goetz),83, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Chicago, Carpentersville and South Elgin passed away Feb. 21 in Barrington. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road) in Barrington with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Therese was born Sept. 14, 1928 in Chicago to Nickolaus and Mary (nee Bernhard) Goetz. Therese married George Rohrbacher in 1948 and together they made their home in Chicago. For many years, Therese worked at the Elgin Mental Health Center as an administrator. Later, Therese and George retired to Las Vegas where she was a member of the Boulder City Art Guild where she served as president and was an avid artist. Therese was a member of the Roman Catholic faith for her entire life.
Survivors include her husband, George; her daughters, Jeannette (Gordon) White, Christine (Jerry) Maly, Patricia (Dale) Hargrave and Kathryn Selpien; her grandchildren, Douglas, Jill, Nicholaus, Olivia, Christopher, Teresa, Sarah and Casey; two great-grandchildren, Laura and Isaac.
Therese was preceded in death by her son, George Thomas; and her grandchildren, James Louis White and Meara Christine Hargrave.
