Thomas R. Bell, 90, of Chicago, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2020. He was born on December 4, 1929, in Chicago to the late Everett and Harriet Bell.
Tom attended St. Viator’s, Schurz H.S., and Bradley University. He served as a medic in the United States Army from 1947-1948 and was a former officer and co-owner of Midwest Fence. He also was an avid skier and sailor, and a member of Columbia Yacht Club.
Tom will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Debra (Broughton); his children, Timothy (Elaine), Barbara, Thomas II, Karen, Mark (Susan), and Diane; his grandchildren Ashley (Stephen), Lindsey, Amber, Mark II (Elizabeth), Ryan, Rachel, and Parker; his great-grandchildren Ryder, Jaxon, Tyler, and Carter; and his brother Everett “Butch” Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents Everett L. Bell, Henrietta “Harriet” (Petrousewicz) Bell, the mother of his children Joan (Maresso) Bell, and his sister-in-law Joan (Curtin) Bell.
A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at a later date.
