The Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas S. Bush, 84, formerly of Elk Grove Village, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 30 at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St. (not Ela Road) where there will be visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Private burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
There will also be a visitation Sunday, September 29 from 2-8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.
Born September 22, 1929, in Chicago, he passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Bush served in the Army during the Korean War. He was the past president and business manager for International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 2 and worked for 48 years in the elevator business. Mr. Bush was a good friend to all who knew him.
Survivors include his children, Patricia (Carlo) Jalovec-Iaccino, Tom Bush, Jim (Christine) Bush, Ken (Dawn) Bush, Chris (Bruce) Baltis, and Joe (Becky) Bush; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Tracy Bush; siblings, Herbie (Bernadene) Flentye and Grace Smith; brother-in-law, Bill White; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty (nee Wiedl), Rita (nee Foxgrover), and Theresa (nee Boyle); son, Tim Bush; parents, Leo and Ann (nee Sandberg) Bush; son-in-law, Frank Jalovec; siblings, Lois White, Ellen (Ken) Gronberg; and brother-in-law, Chuck Smith.
