Thomas Flanagan

Lake Barrington Woods, Illinois,Visitation for Thomas J. Flanagan, age 88, of Lake Barrington Woods, formerly of Crystal Lake and Park Ridge, will be held on Monday November 23, 2009 from 10am until the time of Funeral Service at 11am at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake Cook Rd.), Barrington. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Born May 26, 1921, he passed away on November 18, 2009 at the Wauconda Healthcare Center in Wauconda. Tom was a WWII decorated Army Veteran having received 2 battle stars and a purple heart. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Elaine J. Flanagan, nee Bockhaus; loving children Dave (Vicky) Flanagan of Cavalier, North Dakota, and Donna (Tim) Beechick of North Barrington; cherished grandchildren Sean Thomas Flanagan, Courtney (Mike) Glantz, and Allison and Talia Beechick; dear great grandchildren Logan Glantz, Liam Flanagan, Allisyn Tollefson, and Brian Tollefson; and sister Barbara (John) Keane. He was preceded in death by his brother in law Robert J. Berns. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati OH 45250-0301, would be greatly appreciated.
