Born August 3, 1956 in Evanston, Wyoming, passed away March 7, 2014.
Tom loved baseball. He played throughout his childhood, and he acted as a manager for all four of his sons’ youth teams.
He always made time for friends, family, neighbors, and complete strangers—even when he didn’t have it for himself. Those who knew Tom best remember him for his passionate dedication to church and leadership in local youth activities.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda; sons: David (Morgan), Brett (Janessa), Wade, and Ryan; grandchildren: Carter, Jackson, Eliza, Jakson, and Evie; and seven siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Dorothy George, and his brother Bob.
Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 10 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 11 at Crystal Lake Memorial Park, 8012 Ridgefield Road, Crystal Lake, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5209 Walkup Road, Crystal Lake.
